Get Rid of Whiteheads to Prevent Acne

Whiteheads are caused due to build-up of oil, serum and dead skin that plugs up your pores. They clog your skin's pores and result in pimples.

A repeated occurrence of whiteheads can cause a serious problem of acne. But the good news is that whiteheads can be treated effectively at home. With a little effort and a regular skincare routine, you can keep whiteheads at bay.

Follow these steps to get flawless skin: Wash your face regularly. It makes skin oil-free, which would otherwise result in whiteheads. For best results, use a non-oily face wash and not the one that has glycerine as one of its contents.

Make sure that your hair is washed. Often greasy hair contributes to more oil on the surface of your skin. Dandruff is also one of the major causes of whiteheads and acne. Use an anti-dandruff shampoo once a week to keep your scalp clean. Avoid oily makeup and lotions as they clog the pores the most. They make matters worse and lead to breakouts. Before buying a cosmetic, check out its oil content. Clean your face with a cleanser every day before going to bed. Dab on a little tree tea oil before going to bed. Tea tree oil prevents whiteheads, blackheads and acne. This oil, surprisingly, does not clog pores. It also prevents breakouts.

Scrub your face once a week. Because using a face wash alone won't be enough. To get rid of the sebum that accumulates in pores, gently scrub your face and wash it off with cold water
