10 Relationship Mistakes New Couples Make All the Time
New relationships are perfect. You have the right amount of enthusiasm and passion and things just seem to be on an all-time high. While the fervor is great, make sure you avoid these rookie mistakes to ensure that your relationship doesn't turn sour anytime soon.

10 Relationship Mistakes New Couples Make All the Time

1. Rushing into things:You might feel that everything is perfect at the moment and you don't need to wait to move in with him, or maybe get engaged. However the first few months are your honeymoon period where both of you are on your best behaviour. Give the relationship some time, before you make any new changes.

2. Overthinking about the future: It's heartwarming to talk about your future, but you might want to let things take their own turn instead of overthinking and overanalysing every small thing.

3. Giving up your space: In the excitement of discovering a new relationship don't forget to maintain your own identity. Take a break every now and then, and do things on your own.

4. Alienating friends and family: Just like you give up your me-time, it's a common mistake to alienate friends and family, because your new relationship is too exciting. You might need the exclusive time but don't be out of touch with your loved ones. Maintain a healthy balance.

5. Expect your partner to think and react just like you: It's great to think alike as a couple, but don't expect your partner to give up on his values and beliefs just to fall in line with yours.

6. Expecting perfection: Relationships come with their own share of disappointment. Don't be disheartened by that first argument; it happens to all of us.

7. Sharing every detail about your relationship: It's great that you are having so much and wish to share your joy with your girlfriends. But it's also a good idea to have some limits on that gushing; after all not everyone wants to know intimate details about your relationship.

8. Sacrificing too much: Yeah not all compromises are bad, but draw a line between making the relationship work and giving up on your self-respect.

9. Being too clingy: It's exciting to spend time with your man but you don't want to overdo the ‘being together' part.

10. Ignoring the red flags: Often warning signs can be seen right at the start of your relationship. Don't ignore them hoping that time will solve it all.
